Shakespeare on the Move

Shakespeare on the Move takes short excerpts of Shakespeare’s plays to area high schools in March and onto the Rail Runner in June. High school programs include talk-backs with the performers. All are presented free of charge.
Lauren Dusek Albonico, Shakespeare on the Plaza's Director of Education and Outreach, created Shakespeare on the Move to bring Shakespeare to a different community in a non-traditional setting. Since theatre is a communal art, one that functions as a social unifier, the diverse population that rides the Rail Runner is a perfect theatrical audience. On Saturdays in June our traveling players will entertain traveling New Mexicans with scenes and stories from the Bard.
If you would like to be involved in this year's Shakespeare on the Move performances, have questions about the program, or want to find our more about how to catch these amazing performances, just contact us. Below you can see additional pictures of past Shakespeare on the Rails performances and follow links to learn more about the program.
